Athena

10-03-2025
Our sweet, big lady. She was truly the best dog. We are saddened to announce that Athena has crossed over the rainbow bridge after her fight for 9 months with a form of cancer.
Ben and I were only a year and change into dating when a cat showed up at our door. She won our hearts over unexpectedly, but we knew that she needed a companion, a dog. Ben and I wrestled with what kind of dog we should get but we landed on an English Mastiff who I was told wouldn’t be more than 90 lbs. HA! She turned out to be 160. She was an angel girl. She was with us through many moves (5), and we made our final move in the spring to the suburbs where we chose a house with a yard for the kids, but also for her to lay in the sun, mostly shade.
We planned our life around her. She came on our honeymoon, she went on all of our family trips (FL x2), Poconos, Beach, etc. She loved our kids as if they were her pups. She was our goodest girl who loved us and our food endlessly.
There are so many memories with our girl. We love her so much, and will forever be in our hearts.
Rest in peace, our big girl.
