Bammer

Bammer was the goodest girl. Adopted as a kitten by a bunch of college roommates, smuggled in and out of a college apartment during inspections, present at college parties. Bammer spent her early days getting snuggles from all directions. She frequently scaled the wall by climbing up a hanging tapestry and sitting in the little hammock-like fold in the middle at the very top. The first time she did this without us seeing it, leading us all to think she had somehow escaped! From that north Philly apartment she moved to a South Philly row home with us, and then bounced from roommates parents homes across Delaware County, before eventually landing with just one.

In her lifetime, she lived in multiple different Philadelphia homes and apartments, multiple different Delco homes, multiple different Montco homes, until eventually landing in Chesco. Bammer was well-traveled and well loved. She was one of those cats that loved being picked up, loved being snuggled, loved to give kisses, and to burrow her little head into my neck and shoulder. She loved watching the sunrise in the morning being held while I drank my coffee and journaled. In her early days she was a mice-catcher extraordinaire and frequently left us her little presents. Bammer just oozed love, but likely because of her college beginnings, she wasn’t a push over. She had self-respect and boundaries and let you know when you crossed them. I learned so many lessons from this girl in her time on this earth. I miss her every day and I keep wishing I had just one more snuggle with her. I am better because of being her mom all these years and I know she’s visiting me and her siblings regularly. <3 Love you forever, Bam Bam.
