What To Expect?
The Procedure
A caring veterinarian will greet you during the window of the arrival time at your home. Please let us know of any sentimental locations, personalizations or keepsakes to make this experience as comfortable as possible. Once the pet parent and family are ready there will be an injection administered to help relax the patient. Once the injection is administered it can take 10 or 15 minutes to take full effect. Depending on the furry family member’s health the injection can take a little longer to reach full effect. Once the furry family member is adequately resting comfortably then another injection is administered to provide even further calming and relaxation. The last injection given is an anesthetic so your furry family member will experience a serene and peaceful passing.
If a selection was made of either communal cremation or private cremation then the furry family member will be wrapped gently and personally escorted by the veterinarian directly to the crematory.
