Isaac

Isaac was our constant companion and dearest friend. He loved sun spots, chasing bugs, cuddles, scritches, and being near his family. Often, he would get our attention, lead us to a carpet, flop down sideways, and then propel himself forward as we scritched him (which we called “swimming”). In colder months, he insisted on wedging himself between us on the couch during family TV nights. When it was bedtime, he would run up the stairs and leap into bed, ready for his favorite moment of the day.

He had a white tuft of fur on his chest, unique and perceptive eyes, a little break at the tip of his tail, and long whiskers. He would let his brother Bowie clean his face, but only for a few seconds. He would sweep his tail back and forth when he was curious or happy, and sometimes he would curl it around one of our arms as we fell asleep.

He was, as we told him every day, a good cat.

We love him so much, and we miss him terribly.
