Jabbo

Jabbo was my gentle giant. We adopted him May 18, 2022. He immediately stole my heart when i saw him. He had very arthritic hind legs and possibly a back injury that had healed on its own. He had been at the kennel for almost a year. He had a little hop to his step and big soulful eyes! He became my constant companion. He slept tight against me at night and followed me everywhere. He greeted me at the door with the happiest face and trying to hop up on me. He was wonderful with kids and all our neighborhood kids loved him. The night before New Years Eve, he began to not be able to stand on his hind legs. His frustration was very obvious and I made the difficult decision to ease him over the rainbow bridge. I was not ready to let him go because i knew I would miss him, but I knew it was the best thing for him. Dr. Carol came out and was very kind and gentle. She allowed us to say goodbye with dignity with his head on my lap. I miss him.
