Luna (aka “Mommy” or “Mommy cat”) was our beautiful chocolate-silver Ocicat who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on 9-30-2026. She is survived by her twin brother Marco, stepbrother Jack, and her beloved family of 5 who cared for her.

Luna had a great life with her family that she adored. She had a good sense of humor and some annoying quirks and habits and was known to get herself into some sticky situations. For example, she loved to eat things she shouldn’t such as hairbands, plastic packaging and fake plants. She also liked to snack on popcorn and goldfish crackers, but at least those items were digestible. Our girl was also known to interfere in house projects that resulted in gel stain removal from her fur and whiskers.

Luna was very vocal and enjoyed conversation with us and when she wasn’t meowing, you would find her always purring her heart out even while she was napping. She had the best purr.

Although she was a house cat, she loved to hang out on the deck with us when the weather was nice and enjoy the fresh air.

Most of all, Luna was happiest spending time with her favorite person Ava with whom she shared a special bond.

Luna got diagnosed with kidney carcinoma which turned out to be very aggressive and a week later, she was gone. She was very brave and hid her pain well so we would not be sad.

We are so grateful for the unconditional love, entertainment and comfort she brought to our family over the years and we were honored to be there to comfort her and by her side at the very end. She will be forever missed and loved by all of us.

Purr loudly, little Mommy-cat….now you can rest.
